The vestry is just inside the Door.......... SUPRISED?
OF COURSE NOT!
But you sure can't
say you've been in a service if all you did was walk into the vestry. If your gonna see more..... if your gonna be part of
it.....
you have to go past the entrance!
When Jesus talked to Nicodemus -- Jesus first response
to what Nicodemus asked... OH, did you see a question there in verse 2 of John chapter 3? LOOK at it!
This is
what verse 2 says:
John 3:2 "The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art
a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him."
Do you
see a question there?
I DO!
Nicodemus -- WAS A PHARISEE! and he was asking Jesus, HOW do you fit in with
this whole religion -- you must be from GOD!
LOOK at Jesus answer! .....and it was an answer to his question.....
But how much did he learn?
Jesus said:(this was his first response)
John 3:3 Jesus answered and
said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
NOTICE---- Jesus uses the word "SEE" --
Nicodemus--- there is a whole lot you will never SEE
about the Kingdom of God ---UNLESS YOU ARE BORN-AGAIN!
SEE............... YOU'VE GOT TO GET PAST THE VESTRY!!!!
COME ON IN ---!!
Nicodemus -- NEXT question was........
Well, How do I get in? How can a man
be born again?
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
JESUS -- IN THIS VERSE 5 -- was giving some answers
to his question of HOW to be born again!
UNLESS YOU ARE BORN OF WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT -----
YOU CAN'T ENTER!
ENTER WHAT??????
THE KINGDOM OF GOD!
THINK ON THIS--------------------------------
IT DEFINATLY TAKES WATER AND SPIRIT TO BE BORN AGAIN!
Jesus was NOT including some talk
of natural birth here -- he was explaining HOW to be BORN AGAIN!
Anybody that tries to tell you that Water Baptism
in Jesus Name is not a necessary part of the Born-again experience is NOT enlightened! Instead they are stumbling at the
word!
